Caliban is the 48th unique Warframe to be released, and is the second Sentient -themed Warframe after Revenant. Caliban was first revealed in TennoCon 2021 's Art of Warframe digital panel. The panel featured his concept artist, Keith Thompson, who designed much of the Sentient faction's aesthetic. Caliban is a character from Shakespeare's play.

I noticed that most of the not-so-great looking warframes were all based on concept art by Keith Thompson, so my question is if i'm alone at noticing the glaring design gap between his creations and some other frames, and if it might be intentional.. Which is a shame because his other works outside of Warframe do have a lot more intricate.

As the face of the update (so to speak), Dagath's haunted nature was key to get right for the Digital Extremes art team, starting with an original concept by Keith Thompson. Warframe Principal Character Artist Michael Skyers then added his own spin and style to the character to realize her in her terrifying glory.

Dagath was first revealed in TennoCon 2023 Art of Warframe panel, showcasing her concept art by Keith Thompson and early in-game model by Mike Skyers. In Devstream 173, Dagath's alt helmet, abilities and her signature Dorrclave were revealed. In the original concept, she wielded an executioner.
